As 2015 comes to an end a lot has happened in the food scene in Mississauga but like any industry it’s time to say farewell to the below restaurants.

Here’s a list of restaurants that closed their doors in 2015 in Mississauga:

PK Creek

PK Creek was really popular for sports, poker nights, UFC and live music but unfortunately it was tucked away in a hidden plaza on Dundas west of Hurontario which might have lead to its demise.

Congee Dynasty

Congee Dynasty was located at 1100 Burnhamthorpe Rd. has over 30 different kinds of congee on their menu.

What’s there now? Mongolian Hot Pot

Ben Thanh Viet Thai – “The Chase”

Ben Thanh Viet Thai Restaurant located at 1675 The Chase and also known by locals as “The Chase” have closed its doors for good so you will have to say bye-bye to their amazing Crispy Cyclone Rolls.

What’s there now?  New Seoul Restaurant

Tako Sushi

There aren’t many choices for Japanese Teppanyaki in Mississauga and now there is one less as Tako Sushi has closed down earlier this year.

Applebee’s

One of the biggest casual dining chains in the world has closed its doors in Mississauga. Applebee’s has been in Mississauga for the last 15 years at their Heartland location but closed their doors permanently earlier this year.

Famous All You Can Eat Sushi

Bamboo Legend

Bamboo Legend, located on Lakeshore on the eastern border of Port Credit, has closed.  This popular resto was one of the best Thai restaurants in Mississauga with a great combination of taste, atmosphere and service. Not to worry though –  there are three other locations to choose from. Sadly, this was my go-to spot for great Thai.

What’s there now? Asaka Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Halo Halo World Cafe

Halo Halo World Cafe was a small Filipino restaurant and variety shop located at Burnhamthorpe and Glen Erin Dr. It serves a rotating selection of Filipino foods and has a small retail section of Filipino food brands and health and beauty supplies. You can even rent Filipino movies. There is a small area to dine in (less than ten seats), so be prepared to order food to go.

What’s there now? Nothing

Roti Vybz

Roti Vybz in Streetsville is closed, but not to worry—they are simply moving to a new location. We have been assured the new location will be in Mississauga, but nothing has been finalized.
