Man faces more than 10 firearm charges in Hamilton shooting that injured 2 people

A 21-year-old man faces more than 10 firearm charges in connection to a shooting that sent two people to hospital in Hamilton.
Shortly before 1 p.m. yesterday (May 9), Hamilton Police were called to the area of Sanford Avenue North and King Street East for a shooting, Hamilton Police Service said.
Two people were found suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to hospital and remain in stable condition, police said yesterday.
Cathedral High School was put into lockdown as a precaution.
The shooting is believed to be a targeted incident at this time, police said.
Today (May 10), police said Wisler Sebastian Rosima, 21, was arrested and faces more than 10 firearm charges.
Police say he appeared in court and remains in custody.
Detectives asked residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police.
Anyone driving in the area at that time with dash camera footage should also contact investigators.
