Flames tear through a business in Brampton overnight

A fire broke out at a business in Brampton overnight.

The fire was at a commercial business on Stafford Drive, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The fire was deemed under control early this morning and no injuries were reported, Brampton Fire said.

Brampton Fire didn’t immediately respond to a request for further information but a post on X indicates the fire was at the back of Mann’s Truck Sales & Leasing. 

Several tractor-trailers and dump trucks were reportedly on fire.

Peel Regional Police said Stafford Drive would be closed for several hours.

There have been multiple fires in Brampton in recent weeks.  Crews were called to a house fire on Merton Road near Williams Parkway and Kennedy Road on Tuesday. A fire damaged a Hasty Market convenience store on Monday.

On March 28, crews were called to a blaze in a townhouse complex. There was also a two-alarm house fire in Brampton on March 28.
