Sign catches fire outside business in Brampton

Firefighters worked to knock down a blaze after the sign of a business caught fire in Brampton.

The fire happened on Monday at a Hasty Market convenience store near Ebenezer Road and The Gore Road in Brampton.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services says the fire was “contained” to the business’ sign and a picture from the scene shows fire damage to the display.

No injuries were reported and the fire was brought under control but crews will be on the scene for overhaul operations.

Drivers should avoid the area while clean-up is underway.
