VIDEOS: House fire upgraded to 2nd alarm in Brampton

Additional firefighting resources have been called in to battle a two-alarm blaze that broke out at a home in Brampton.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services says the fire started at a home on Pennsylvania Avenue in Brampton on Friday.

At least four BFES fire engines and around a dozen firefighters could be seen working to knock down the blaze which was upgraded to a two-alarm fire, the service says.

Videos shared from the scene show a detached home with smoke coming from the inside of the building while firefighters battled the blaze.

A two-alarm blaze is declared when additional firefighting resources are needed to tackle the fire.

BFES is asking residents and drivers to avoid the area while the attack is underway.

No injuries have been reported.
