A transport truck driver got a surprise visitor while travelling on an Ontario highway.
A wild turkey crashed through the driver’s windshield on Highway 3 and Inman Side Road in Kingsville, western Ontario, the OPP said in a post on X yesterday (March 26).
The turkey and driver were not injured in the crash, police added.
OPP reminded drivers to stay alert for hazards that could come from anywhere — including the sky.
“It’s important to always pay attention and have full control of your vehicle,” police said.
While getting hit by a wild turkey is likely a rare event, drivers have been hit with lost tires and other objects.
