Another smash-and-grab robbery has been caught on video in Mississauga.
Two different videos show three people in hoodies and face coverings inside a Peoples Jewellers on Saturday night. The incident, reported to have taken place at Erin Mills Town Centre in the city’s west end, happened at around 7:45 p.m., the person who posted on Reddit said.
The video shows two people smashing display cases with what appears to be hammers while another person carries a bag. Security guards direct people away from the store.
Several people watch the robbery, while some appear to be filming it on their phones.
It’s unclear from the videos how much jewelry was stolen.
A video on TikTok and Instagram shows three people running past a Tim Hortons and out of the mall.
Peel Regional Police did not immediately respond to a request for more information on the incident.
On Monday, a Peoples Jewellers staff member told INsauga.com that they had reopened the store after the robbery.
This is the latest of many robberies at Erin Mills Town Centre jewelry stores. Charm Diamond Centres has been hit in the mall several times. Another jewelry store was hit in the mall in June.
