VIDEO: Huge job fair lineup around the block at grocery store in Brampton

Footage of a massive crowd of people lined up around the block at a job fair in Brampton is going viral online.

The video was filmed at the Fortinos grocery store at Bovaird Dr. East and Mountainash Rd. and posted to Twitter earlier this week, and shows hundreds of people queued for a job fair.

The line stretches out the door and around the building, and as the camera pans you can see the lineup continue around the corner and down the block.

The video has already seen more than 2,000,000 views since being posted on Monday.

The person recording the video says there were limited jobs available at the fair, and it’s unclear how many positions were actually available. There are currently several positions posted online for Fortinos in Brampton, including a part-time clerk, assistant store manager and bakery manager.

The video is reminiscent of footage posted online last summer of a Brampton passport office with people lined up overnight as the federal government struggled with a backlog following the COVID-19 pandemic.
