Two huge lottery jackpots have been won in Ontario

Two huge lottery jackpots were won in Ontario in recent days.

On Friday night, one ticket matched all seven numbers in the main Lotto Max draw to win the top prize of $10 million.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation told INsauga.com that the winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.

“That ticket holder got an email from OLG telling them they are a big winner. Hope they open that email right away!” an OLG spokesperson said.

Other than the jackpot, a ticket sold in Winnipeg matched six out of seven numbers plus the bonus in the main draw to win the second prize of $159,374.00.

There were also 10 $100,000 maxplus prizes up for grabs and three of them were won by one ticket each. One was sold in Alberta, another in Saskatchewan, and the third in Quebec.

Then on Saturday night, the Lotto 6/49 gold ball jackpot was won.

The OLG said a ticket sold in Peterborough won $16 million.

For the classic draw, no one matched all six numbers to claim the $5 million jackpot.

However, one ticket got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win the second prize of $170,806.50. It was sold in the Parry Sound / Nippissing area.

“Make sure to check your tickets as soon as possible on the OLG app or at your favourite local lottery retailer,” the OLG said.
