This year was a busy one for restaurant owners and entrepreneurs in Brampton.

From Meditteranean to Chinese cuisine, snacks and everything in between, the year 2022 saw a lot of diversity in terms of restaurant openings in the city.

5. Sharmz Mediterranean Restaurant

Sharmz Meditteranean Restaurant, which is located at 135 Main St. North, offers traditional dishes such as Shawarma and kebabs, while also offering Canadian classics such as poutine with a Mediterranean twist.

Popular menu items include chicken, beef and Falafel Shawarma platters along with kebabs and sandwiches.

4. The Alley

The Alley, located at 10025 Hurontario St., is a bubble tea and beverage bar known for creating unique drinks.

Signature drinks include the Royal No.9, made with black tea pre-roasted with blueberries and the Deerioca series with brown sugar tapioca pearls that go through a two-hour slow-cooking process.
