Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Mississauga Pronounced Dead, Driver Fled

A fatal collision took place earlier tonight in Mississauga.
Police say that officers responded to a call at 8:41 p.m. for a pedestrian struck in the area of Mavis Road and Knotty Pine Grove.
The adult female pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene, according to police. Police say the driver fled the scene.
Mavis is currently closed in both directions.
