Air Canada is now offering five flights weekly to Manchester, England.

Air Canada has added more flights to both the heart of the U.S. midwest and England from Pearson Airport in Mississauga as the summer travel season officially kicks off this week.

As of this week, Canada’s flagship carrier is offering five weekly flights to Manchester, England direct from Pearson and daily flights to Kansas City, Missouri, known for its barbecue ribs and jazz scene.

“Manchester is the place to be. From art galleries and music to world-famous football, there’s never a dull moment,” Pearson officials posted on social media.

Earlier this month, Air Canada began offering four flights per week to both Sacramento, the capital of California, and Iceland’s capital city of Reykjavik as it continues to bump up its summer flight schedule.

More flights are being added on a weekly basis to various destinations across Canada and around the world from Pearson as the spring travel season concludes and the even busier summer season gets started.

Air Canada also resumed its schedule of three weekly flights to Salt Lake City, Utah earlier in June.

Earlier this spring, Air Canada resumed three weekly flights to Venice, Italy, six weekly flights between Pearson and Madrid, Spain and four flights per week to Fort McMurray, Alberta, in time for the late spring and summer travel seasons.

In early April, Air Canada resumed its schedule of five weekly flights to Copenhagen, which with a population of about two million is also the northern European nation’s most populous city.

In March, as the spring travel season began to take hold, Air Canada announced it was increasing the number of flights to Portugal, Spain and Greece from Pearson.

In late March, Pearson announced additional flights to New York City and other U.S. destinations while in early April it was announced flights were being added to various European destinations, including Denmark, Spain, Greece and Portugal.
