Following a fatal two-vehicle crash in Milton yesterday, families and friends of the three victims have launched GoFundMe campaigns, sharing personal stories and seeking financial support for funeral costs and additional expenses.

Mousawar Ahmed, 26, one of the three lives lost in the fiery car crash is being remembered through a GoFundMe page set up by Arwa, a close friend of his sister Simran.

Arwa shared that Mousawar, who recently celebrated his 26th birthday, was unmarried and without a father figure, and he took on the family responsibilities, including taking care of his two younger siblings.

Facing the unforeseen funeral expenses and the trauma of their loss, the family is in dire need of support. Arwa appealed, “I request everyone to please remember them in your prayers and help and donate as much as you can.”

Lauralee Dorst and Heather Smith also created a GoFundMe page, calling on community support for the Burger family, who are mourning the loss of 18-year-old Jaydon Burger— the second victim in the tragic crash.

The message emphasized the family’s profound grief: “The pain of this loss is beyond comprehension…[sic] a void that can never be filled.”

They describe Jaydon as a vibrant soul whose “laughter, kindness, and zest for life” greatly impacted those around him.

In their mission to support the Burger family, Dorst and Smith are seeking donations to cover funeral expenses and provide financial relief for parents Kevin and Gloria Burger. This will allow them to focus on grieving and supporting their other two children.

“We do not want them to have to worry about anything other than their two children at home and healing their hearts,” they shared.

The message concluded with “Your generosity, compassion, and support are deeply appreciated.”

Dorst and Smith thanked those who contributed and urged the community to share the family’s story and keep them in their prayers.
