Massive “World of Barbie” Installation coming to Mississauga

Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga welcomes all things Barbie this summer for the World of Barbie immersive exhibit.
The installation will feature 7,600-square-metres of Barbie’s neighbourhood streets, allowing visitors to enter various interactive rooms.
Tickets for the event will officially go on sale on June 17 but organizers are encouraging fans to pre-register on the World of Barbie website.
Anyone who registers before June 11 is automatically entered into a contest to win VIP access and a personal tour of the global premiere of Barbie in July.
The winner will also receive a special collector’s replica of the original Barbie doll.

Dates have not yet been released, but the Mississauga event is expected to take place later this summer.
Square One Shopping Centre is the first location on a North American wide tour that will also see the World of Barbie land in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
According to Mark Manuel of Kilburn, the agency presenting the event on behalf of toymaker Mattel, the World of Barbie is meant to bring the character and her world to life.
“Barbie is as relevant today as she was when she was first introduced to the world 63 years ago,” Manuel said.
Along with the dreamhouse and camper van, visitors will also be able to explore Barbie’s fashion and TV studios, the science laboratory and the Barbie Space Center.
