An Ontario woman recently scored a huge lottery prize.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced on Tuesday that Rose M. of Lindsay won a $1 million Maxmillion prize in the March 24 Lotto Max draw.
Rose, 62, was at home when she checked her ticket using the OLG app.
“The words ‘big winner’ flashed across the screen and I thought to myself, ‘No way!'” Rose said.
“I burst into the washroom to ask my husband if I was seeing things right… He replied, ‘Yes, you won $1 million!’ I was in total shock.”
Rose said she’s still processing the win: “I just don’t believe it!”

Rose’s key to the big prize was doing something she doesn’t normally do.
“Normally, I don’t replay my lottery numbers, but this time I did and I’m so glad I did,” she said.
Rose, a retiree, is a mother of six and a grandmother of 13.
She said she plans to buy a new home with her winnings and also hopes to travel to Australia, Hawaii, and Nashville.
A cruise could also be in the cards.
“Taking a cruise has always been a dream of mine,” she said.
The winning ticket was bought in Lindsay at Tom’s Variety on Kent Street West.
