First-ever ‘Maxplus’ Lotto Max prize won in Ontario since launch

There were several big lottery prizes that were won in Ontario over the weekend.

On Friday night, the Lotto Max draw had a $30 million jackpot up for grabs, along with 30 of the new $100,000 maxplus prizes.

While no one was lucky enough to win the jackpot, there were four maxplus prizes that were won in Canada — the first ones won since they were launched.

One of the four went to a ticket sold in Bruce County in Ontario, marking the first maxplus prize won in the province since they were introduced, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said.

The three others went to tickets sold in Quebec, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.

On Saturday night, for the Lotto 6/49 gold ball draw, a white ball was pulled, meaning the guaranteed $1 million prize was handed out.

The OLG said a ticket sold in Guelph won that prize.

No one matched six out of six numbers to win the $5 million Lotto 6/49 classic jackpot.

However, there were two tickets that got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win the second-place prize of $124,363.00.

One of those tickets was sold in Ontario’s Renfrew County.

And for the Lottario draw, two tickets matched six out of six numbers to split the $250,000 jackpot.

One was sold in Guelph and the other in Oakville, the OLG said.
