Officials confirmed that the Subaru was stolen just before the collision from the area of Upper Sherman Ave. and Stone Church Rd. East, and that the suspect was dropped off near the vehicle by a “dark-coloured Ford pickup truck” before it was stolen.

“We are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their security cameras between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. (on Dec. 10) for any suspicious activity and asking for anyone driving in the area at that time with dash cam footage to contact police,” issued law enforcement.

The victim in the hit-and-run suffered life-threatening injuries.
