Canada Soccer announced the preliminary round schedule on Tuesday for the 2023 Canadian Championship.
With a win, Forge would advance to an all-CPL quarter-final to play either Atlético Ottawa or HFX Wanderers.
Should Forge make it to the semi-final round, they could see a Major League Soccer opponent with CF Montreal and Toronto FC situated in the same bracket.
Forge was eliminated from the 2022 Canadian Championship by CF Montreal in the quart-final, before a heartbreaking loss at home to Toronto FC in the COVID-19-delayed 2020 Canadian Championship Final.
This year’s Canadian Championship opener will be played three days after Forge’s first league match of the season against Cavalry FC on Apr. 15 in Hamilton.
