CLOSURE: 13 more Beer Stores shutting down in November in Ontario

The Beer Store is set to continue shutting down locations next month.

The company previously announced two rounds of closures — one slated for Nov. 2 and another for Nov. 16.

In total, 13 additional stores will close next month, adding to numerous closures that have already happened after Ontario’s alcohol marketplace expanded last year.

Most recently, on Oct. 19, 12 locations closed.

“Where we sell beer and collect empties is changing in Ontario as part of market modernization,” Ozzie Ahmed, the vice president of retail at The Beer Store, said in a news release regarding the Nov. 2 closures.

“In an ongoing process, The Beer Store is adapting to market changes and making the hard decision to close retail locations.”

Here’s a look at the 13 locations that are set to close next month:

• Niagara Falls — 4670 Bridge Street
• Pickering — 1355 Kingston Road
• Sudbury — 891 Notre Dame Avenue

• Alexandria — 118 Main Street North
• Barrie — 299 Blake Street
• Brampton — 374 Main Street North
• Beaverton — 553 Mara Road
• Cornwall — 960 Brookdale Avenue Unit 7
