There’s a change for guests headed to Canada’s Wonderland this weekend.
In June, the amusement park announced plans to hold an expanded fireworks lineup for this season, with four new Saturday evening shows scheduled for July 4, 11, 18, and 25.
That’s in addition to fireworks that happened on Canada Day, as well as shows scheduled for the Civic Holiday and Labour Day long weekends (those will be held on Aug. 2 and Sept. 6).
But Canada’s Wonderland said due to the weather forecast for Saturday, the July 18 display is being postponed.
The show will be rescheduled, but the date has not yet been announced.

While wildfire smoke is expected to continue to impact southern Ontario on Saturday, a spokesperson for the park said that’s not the reason for the show being cancelled.
Instead, it has to do with possible rainfall.
Environment Canada said strong storms could occur in parts of southern Ontario on Saturday, including in the Greater Toronto Area.
“Severe thunderstorms are possible, producing wind gusts of near 100 km/h, hail of 2 to 4 cm, and heavy downpours,” forecasters said.
Up to 50 mm of rain could fall locally. Trees could be downed and power outages may occur, forecasters said.
However, wildfire smoke may inhibit the development of storms over some areas, Environment Canada said.
Canada’s Wonderland said the park will still be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
“We can’t wait to see you at our remaining fireworks spectaculars on July 25 and Aug. 2,” Wonderland said.
