Reimagined rollercoaster is opening soon at Canada's Wonderland

A reimagined rollercoaster is set to open soon at Canada’s Wonderland.

The Vaughan amusement park previously announced that the ride formerly known as Flight Deck and Top Gun before that was being “reborn.”

It will now be known as “The DareDeviler.”

“The DareDeviler propels guests into the daring dawn of aviation as Canada’s Wonderland reimagines its iconic inverted coaster with a bold new identity, smoother ride experience, and immersive backstory rooted in fearless innovation,” Canada’s Wonderland said.

The park previously said the ride would be opening sometime in the “early summer.”

Spokesperson Grace Peacock told INsauga.com on Tuesday that it will be opening this month, but specific date wasn’t provided.

The ride will have new trains and “targeted track refinements.”

The new trains will offer improved seating and open vest-style restraints, while the track refinements will deliver a “smoother, more dynamic ride,” Wonderland said.

Canada’s Wonderland said the rollercoaster is designed to “make riders feel like they’ve taken the controls of a legendary stunt plane.”

“Sweeping through tight turns, dramatic drops, and adrenaline‑pumping inversions, riders are launched into a high‑speed thrill ride inspired by the daring feats of early stunt pilots,” the park said.

Sledge Hammer reopened July 6

Meanwhile, the Sledge Hammer ride reopened on Monday, July 6.

It was closed at the start of the season so that new pumps could be installed as part of infrastructure upgrades.

Additionally, Minebuster opened at the end of May after track was replaced.
