Beer Store location reopens in southern Ontario just in time for Canada Day

Another Beer Store location has reopened in southern Ontario just in time for Canada Day.

It follows the reopening of a Beer Store last week at 1089 Kingston Road in Scarborough, near Victoria Park Avenue.

On Monday, a location at 3078 Don Mills Road in North York also opened its doors.

“This is an exciting day. Consumers in North York now have another convenient location to purchase a great selection of beer and get their deposit money back,” said Ozzie Ahmed, vice president of retail at The Beer Store.

“We’re thrilled to have this location open in time to serve customers for Canada Day.”

The reopenings mark a reversal of a trend of Beer Store closures that have happened throughout Ontario amid the province’s expanded alcohol marketplace.

Beer Stores at both the Scarborough and North York locations had shut down last year.

Both of those stores will be one of many open on Canada Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
