Another storm has cancelled flights to Pearson Airport in Mississauga from Atlantic Canada.

Four of today’s 16 scheduled flights from Halifax Stanfield International Airport to Pearson have been cancelled by airlines, Pearson said in a post to social media this morning.

Halifax is bracing for another storm but unlike the heavy snow, which cancelled flights earlier this month, this storm is bringing strong winds and a huge rainfall.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a weather alert for strong winds and up to up to 20 millimetres of rain for Halifax.

Strong winds and heavy rain may affect your flight schedule,” Halifax Stanfield Airport said on X. “Please remember to confirm your flight status with your airline before heading to the airport and give yourself extra time to get here safely”

As always, Pearson Airport suggests travellers check their flight status before heading out.
