5 of the cheapest homes for sale in Mississauga right now

Although the real estate market has cooled in Mississauga, it’s still not easy to find a good, inexpensive home in the city.
The prices have come down across Canada since record highs earlier this year. In Mississauga, the average home price dropped to below $1 million last month.
But there are fewer homes on the market these days, and homes are taking longer to sell. In October, home sales were at the lowest level for the month since 1994. Only 446 homes were sold through the MLS System of the Mississauga Real Estate Board in October 2022. This was a large decline of 53.5 per cent from October 2021.
There are still homes out there to buy and have come down in price.
Here are five detached homes for sale under $1 million this month:
846 Mississauga Valley Blvd.

Built in 1963, this home is billed as a “developer/investor opportunity” but it still has charm. There is a bright living room with space for a piano. The three-bedroom home comes with a garage. There is even partially-finished basement with a separate entrance.
This is one of the few homes for under $800,000 — it is listed for sale for $799,000.
16 Burlington St.
Located in Malton, the place has an “extra-wide” 55-foot frontage lot. The backyard has plenty of space for a garden in the spring. The three-bedroom home has a long driveway with space for up to five cars. It’s close to Pearson Airport for those who like to travel and plane watch.

7004 Cordingley Cres.
This three-bedroom home in Meadowvale comes on a deep 150-foot lot. The location and the fact that it’s a detached home make it a good buy. But it needs some upgrades. The kitchen is dated and the living room could also use a refresh.
It’s listed at $874,900.
6352 Plowmans Heath
This newly renovated home comes with a brand new kitchen with granite countertops and a centre island. The three-bedroom home also has three bathrooms — the primary bedroom has a walk-in closet. There’s an above-ground pool in the backyard.
This place is priced a bit higher at $899,000.
1089 Westmount Ave.
This two-bedroom home is smaller and more expensive than others on the list but it comes on a large corner lot. The living room is bright with several windows. Located in Lakeview, it is close to Lake Ontario and shops in Port Credit.
This is place is listed at $949,900.
