A huge $18 million lottery prize was won in Canada Wednesday night.

A gold ball was pulled in the Lotto 6/49 gold ball draw.

That means the jackpot was handed out as opposed to a $1 million prize had a white ball been pulled.

The ticket that won the $18 million prize was sold somewhere in Saskatchewan, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

For the classic draw, no one matched six out of six numbers to win the $5 million jackpot.

Eight tickets got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win $6,988.30.

Four of those were sold in Ontario and one each in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Quebec.

These were the winning numbers for the Wednesday, Jan. 7 Lotto 6/49 draw, according to the WCLC:

Gold ball draw ($18 million jackpot): 37383130-06

Classic draw: 3, 9, 10, 11, 14, 24, Bonus 5

Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw will feature the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as a $10 million gold ball jackpot, or the guaranteed $1 million prize.
