The winner of a huge Lotto Max jackpot earlier this month has been revealed.
Loto-Québec announced that Capitale-Nationale resident Karine Sirois won the $14 million jackpot in the Jan. 13 draw.
Sirois bought her ticket online and the day after the draw, Loto-Québec called her to let her know she won the top prize.
She hadn’t yet checked her ticket from the night before.
But when she logged into her account, she confirmed that she won the jackpot.
Sirois has already told her manager that she is retiring.
Also, Loto-Québec said she will “fulfil long-held dreams, two of which are to buy a house and travel with her loved ones.”
“The only thing left to do is choose the destination—or destinations!”

The Jan. 13 Lotto Max draw was one of several in which the jackpot was won recently.
On Dec. 30, a ticket sold in London, Ontario won an $80 million jackpot. The winner or winners of that prize have yet to be named.
Most recently, in the Jan. 20 Lotto Max draw, a ticket sold in Brant County in southern Ontario won the jackpot — that time, it was $15 million.
