$80 million lottery jackpot has been won in Canada

After multiple draws, the $80 million Lotto Max jackpot has finally been won.

One ticket matched seven out of seven numbers to take home the massive prize.

That ticket was sold somewhere in London, Ontario, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

It’s only the second time ever that an $80 million Lotto Max jackpot has been won by a single ticket. It’s the first time that has happened in Ontario.

Eleven tickets also matched six out of seven numbers plus the bonus in the main draw to win the second prize of $57,612.20, according to multiple Canadian lottery corporations.

Seven of those were sold in Ontario, two in Quebec, one in Alberta, and another in British Columbia, according to the lottery corporations.

And 107 tickets got six out of seven numbers to win $5,080.50.

For the maxmillion prizes, 15 of 51 were won, three of which were split among more than one ticket.

Several of those prizes were won in Ontario.

The OLG said that seven Ontario tickets won a $1 million maxmillion prize: one was sold in Hamilton, two in Toronto, one in Barrie, one in Thornhill, one in the Prince Edward County / Hastings area, and one in the Niagara area.

Four Ontario tickets won $500,000 maxmillion prizes (with a $1 million prize split two ways). The OLG said they were sold in:

• Windsor (split with a ticket sold in Vaughan)
• Vaughan (split with the Windsor ticket)
• York Region (split with a ticket sold on OLG.ca)
• OLG.ca (split with the York Region ticket)

And two Ontario tickets — one sold in York Region and the other in Ajax — won $333,333.40, splitting a maxmillion prize with a third ticket sold in Western Canada.

For the Encore draw, a ticket sold in Ajax won $1 million.

And lastly, three tickets won $100,000 on Encore: one was sold in Durham Region, another in Grey County, and the third in Welland.
