There are Canada Day fireworks at 4 events in Mississauga

Mississauga residents looking to see some impressive fireworks displays on Canada Day this Friday have several locations and shows to choose from in the city as they head out to join in the celebration.
After a two-year absence due to COVID-19, the colourful fireworks celebrations return to four locations across Mississauga.
In the downtown core, Canada Day is being marked at Celebration Square. The day’s events run from 4-10:30 p.m. and include live entertainment, food trucks, arcade machines, stilt walkers and much more.
The impressive fireworks display begins at 10:05 p.m. to round out the day’s activities.
On Mississauga’s waterfront, the annual Paint the Town Red Canada Day event in Port Credit offers up an array of fun activities culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at about 10:15 p.m.
The Port Credit celebration kicks off with a huge parade followed by family events and the fireworks display at Port Credit Memorial Park.

Paint the Town Red has attracted tens of thousands of visitors each year since its inception in 2003.
Farther north in the city, the Streetsville BIA hosts its annual Canada Day Celebration at Streetsville Village Square and Streetsville Memorial Park.
The square hosts several events and activities starting at 6 p.m. before the action shifts to Streetsville Memorial Park for some live music and the spectacular fireworks show.
Crafts, games, a Rotary barbecue, raffles and more are all on tap for the evening.
The Streetsville Pipes and Drums will lead everyone down to Memorial Park for the music and fireworks, the latter of which gets underway at about 10 p.m.
Up in Malton, in what Ward 5 Councillor Carolyn Parrish bills as Mississauga’s “largest and longest fireworks display,” Westwood Square Mall hosts its annual Canada Day show.
“Malton has had the city’s largest and longest fireworks display off the roof of Westwood Square Mall–outdoing even Celebration Square with a spectacular show set to music every year,” Parrish told residents via her newsletter.
The Malton fireworks also begin at about 10 p.m.
Admission to all Canada Day celebrations and the fireworks displays is free.
