The woman who was stabbed at an Oshawa bar last weekend has died.

She has since been identified as Teil-lyn Cook, 19 of Pickering. On December 4, Cook was at the Fox and Goose sports bar on Park Rd., just across the street from the GM assembly plant.

Out in front of the bar, Cook was stabbed by an unknown assailant around 2:30 a.m. The attack left Cook with critical, life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre for treatment.

However, by the time Durham Regional Police officers arrived the unidentified suspects had sped off in a black pick-up truck.

Police confirmed on December 9 that Cook had since succumbed to her wounds. Her death marks the 15th murder in Durham Region of 2022.
