Win $100 gift card at new library branch grand opening in Brampton

The city is celebrating the grand opening of Brampton’s latest library with prizes, tours and more with a ribbon cutting this weekend.

The new Brampton Library Claireville branch opened in March, but Saturday will see the officially grand opening of the 11,500 square-foot facility in the west end of the city.

With space for both quiet study and active discovery, residents are able to check out up to 50 books at a time from the branch which also includes a collection of other borrowable items like board games and video games, telescope and bird watching activity kits.

There’s also the new interactive Touch2Play Max installation with games for all ages.

The grand opening event will feature the Touch2Play Max gaming stations, face painting and balloon twisting, and huge Connect4 and Kerplunk games.

Brampton Library cardholders can also enter to win a $100 gift card from Bramalea City Centre.

“Visit our pop-up tent in the parking lot to learn more about innovative ways to use your free Library card and details about our free programs and upcoming summer reading club details for kids, teens, seniors, and adults,” the Brampton Library says in a release.

The Brampton Library Claireville branch grand opening runs on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 8750 The Gore Rd. in Brampton.
