Will The Beer Store be open over the holidays in Ontario?

The Beer Store has revealed how its hours will be impacted by the Christmas and New Year’s holidays this year.

Christmas day is now just over a week away and people will be ringing in 2025 one week after that.

On Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), all beer stores will close early at 5 p.m.

On Christmas Day, all stores will be closed.

Select stores will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the following day (Boxing Day). You can see a list of those locations below.

The next week, on New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31, all stores will close early at 5 p.m.

And on the first day of 2025 on Jan. 1, all stores will be closed.

This is the first year, however, that Ontarians have access to a wider alcohol marketplace and can still pick up beer, cider, wine and ready-to-drink beverages from thousands of additional stores, including convenience stores.
