A man from Whitby is among three people arrested in Markham after police claim they discovered drugs and a gun in a car.

York Regional Police said their officers were out at a gas station near Major Mackenzie Dr. and Markland Rd. around 8 p.m. on January 12.

The officers said they noticed evidence of cannabis use in the car and used that as probable cause to search it. Inside they claim to have found cocaine, cannabis and a loaded pistol.  As a result, all three people in the vehicle were arrested.
