What’s Open and Closed Labour Day Monday in Brampton

Labour Day this year in Brampton is on Monday, September 6, 2021.

It originally gave workers the chance to campaign for better working conditions and pay but now it’s part of a long weekend to relax.


  • Bramalea City Centre (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Some smaller grocery stores, such as Rabba grocery stores
  • Most Shoppers Drug Marts
  • Most restaurants are open but call ahead
  • Movie theatres
  • Select recreation facilities. Please utilize the reservation system
  • For information on outdoor amenities to enjoy safely with your family, including free fitness in the park classes, Professor’s Lake beach and boathouse, and outdoor splash pads, visit the city website.

  • 80 Peel Centre Dr.
