Warm temperatures and sunshine are back in southern Ontario!

Following a cloudy week with considerable rainfall, temperatures are set to climb back into the double digits, accompanied by pleasant sunshine for the remainder of the weekend.

Residents in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham can expect to start their day with a mix of sun and clouds with 11 C temperatures in all cities.

Despite the warm temperatures, the region will experience high winds with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h between the morning and afternoon.

For those heading outdoors, staying hydrated and applying sunscreen is advisable, as the UV index is expected to reach a moderate level of 4.

As evening approaches, skies will clear in Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton, whereas Durham and Hamilton will experience a period of cloudiness before also clearing up.

Wild winds reaching speeds of 50 km/h are forecasted to return in the evening and ease off by midnight.

Temperatures are set to drop, with Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton cooling to -1 C, and Hamilton and Durham will experience slightly chillier conditions at -2 C.

According to Environment Canada, Monday will be another beautiful day with crystal clear skies and 11 C temperatures.

While a 60 per cent chance of rain is predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will improve significantly on Thursday and Friday. The end of the week will be mainly sunny with a high of 14 C.

For most of the week, warm days will lead to cold nights with temperatures dropping below -6 C. It might be wise to have a sweater or coat handy for evening outings.
