April 18 Weather: Rain, fog and grey skies to dominate Southern Ontario

Another cloudy day is in the forecast today, with the potentially damaging winds that gusted up to 80 km/hr last night faded away, though more high winds are expected in a turbulent afternoon.

Mississauga, Brampton and the southern Halton communities of Oakville and Burlington will see a few showers ending early in the morning then clouds will move in with a 40 percent chance of more showers. The cloud cover should clear late in the afternoon when winds at 40 km/hr, gusting to 70 km/hr will move in.

The high for the day is 11.

Halton Hills and Milton might see a few flurries in the afternoon – though with a high of 11 that seems unlikely – and winds that could gust up to 60 km/hr in the afternoon. Hamilton will likely see similar weather pattern, minus the slight chance of flurries.

Durham Region to the east will also have cloud cover in the morning, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 12, with afternoon winds reaching 70 km/hr

All the GTA communities will see increasing cloudiness near midnight Saturday with winds of 30 km.hr, gusting to 50 km/hr, and lows of plus three.
