Weapon threat prompts heavy police presence in Mississauga

Officers are on scene for a weapon investigation this afternoon.
Police were called at 2:19 p.m. for reports of an individual being threatened with a weapon in the area of Paisley Boulevard and Hurontario Street near Queensway East.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
More information to come as the investigation proceeds.
Residents may want to avoid the scene as there is a heavy police presence in the area.
UPDATE: The investigation has concluded as of 4:45 p.m. and one adult male was taken into custody for weapons-related offences.
