Police are investigating a shocking road rage incident caught on camera in Brampton that saw a driver’s windshield smashed.

The incident happened in the area of Torbram Road and Sandalwood Parkway on Wednesday evening in Brampton, according to videos circulating on social media accounts.

The footage starts with a man walking down the middle of the road as he approaches a vehicle and tries to open the driver’s door.

Finding it locked, the man then punches the driver’s window before moving to the front of the vehicle and smashing his fist into the windshield, causing a massive spider web-shaped crack.

Three other individuals can also be seen in the video, with one of the men appearing to kick the victim’s car while the quartet of road ragers pile back into their vehicle.

One copy of the video being shared on social media has been viewed over 556,000 times.

The video doesn’t show what led to the violent incident and Peel Regional Police say officers are investigating.

“We are aware of a video that is circulating on social media of an apparent road rage incident that occurred in Brampton last evening,” Peel police said in a statement, adding that the men’s behaviour “is unacceptable.”
