VIDEO: Dramatic footage at Oakville high school as police search for male with firearm

Dramatic video provided to inhalton.com shows police sweeping an Oakville high school for an armed male on Tuesday afternoon.
White Oaks Secondary School was placed under lockdown around 12 p.m. after a male with a firearm was spotted in the area.
Halton Regional Police Service conducted a search inside the school and the surrounding area for the suspect, who is described as wearing a blue and white shirt, black shorts, with a backpack.

Police can be heard on the video shouting at students to get their hands up upon entering one of the classrooms in search of the male suspect.
Halton Regional police are asking the public report any potential sighting of this male or any other suspicious activity to them.
Other schools in the area have gone into a Hold and Secure. Ecole Gaetan Gervais, Montclair Public School, St. Michael Elementary, Munns and Ecole Elementaire Du Chene have been placed in Hold and Secure.
There is a heavy police presence in the area and the public is being asked to please avoid the area.
