Videos are emerging that appear to show the Delta plane crash at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Monday.

Delta Air Lines flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, from Minneapolis, was carrying  80 people—76 passengers and four crew members when it crashed around 2:15 p.m. on Monday while landing at Pearson Airport.

On Tuesday morning, Delta Airlines said 21 injured passengers were initially transported to local hospitals and 19 have been released. Three people, including a child, suffered critical injuries.

“Our most pressing priority remains taking care of all customers and Endeavor crew members who were involved,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian on X. “We’ll do everything we can to support them and their families in the days ahead, and I know the hearts, thoughts and prayers of the entire Delta community are with them. We are grateful for all the first responders and medical teams who have been caring for them.”

Pearson Airport Fire Chief Todd Aitken told reporters the runway was dry and there were no “crosswind conditions” at the time of the crash.

Aitken said it is “really important that we do not speculate” on the cause of the crash.

Videos now emerging appear to show the Delta plane landing at the airport.

One video appears to be filmed very close to the runway as the plane approaches. The person filming pans as the plane lands and hits the runway hard. He swears as flames shoot out from the plane.

Black smoke billows out the back of the plane and video shows the plane flipping on its side.

Another video is not quite as clear but shows the plane landing from a different angle. It appears to be security camera footage.

The video shows the same hard landing, flames and smoke.

A third video shows the plane from another angle, much farther away.

Meanwhile, video from passenger Peter Koukov shows emergency crews rescuing the passengers.

Koukov told news outlets he didn’t know something was wrong until they hit the ground.

He said the plane hit the ground and went sideways. Then people were “hanging upside down like bats.”

“being alive feels pretty cool today,” Koukov said on Instagram.

Toronto Pearson Airport said on Tuesday that the airport remains open with flights arriving and departing.

“Passengers flying out today are advised to check the status of their flight before coming to the airport,” Pearson said on X.
