Firefighters were on the scene tonight (April 22) of a reported fire at Mississauga’s tallest building.
Black smoke could be seen coming from the 80-storey M3 building in the City Centre.
Reports of the fire started to come in around 9 p.m. at the building located in the M City apartment and condominium complex on Burnhamthorpe Road near Confederation Parkway.

There is no indication of injuries at this time, but witnesses said people were seen evacuating the building as fire alarms sounded.
Although the building is still under construction, it is believed that residents occupy units on the lower 30 floors.
While no flames could be seen, reports of black smoke billowing from the building were being reported on various social media sites.
Later, a person who claimed to be a resident of the building said residents were allowed to return to their homes at around 10:30 p.m.
The same person said on Reddit that they believe the fire broke out on the seventh floor.
Emergency crews could not be reached for comment.
At 81-storeys, M3 is the tallest building in Canada that is not located in Toronto.
