What’s Closed and Open Victoria Day May 18 Brampton

Get ready for another long weekend in Brampton with the Victoria Day holiday falling on Monday, May 18, this year.

While most stores will be closed, some shops and restaurants will be open in Brampton for you to take in as you enjoy a break from the daily grind.

All personal fireworks are banned in Brampton, even on Victoria Day, with fines of up 10 $100,000 for anyone caught buying, using or selling fireworks in the city.

• Service Ontario.
• Canada Post offices.
• Brampton Transit facilities, including Lost and Found.

Most Region of Peel services are closed, including:

• Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA).
• Access Peel Counters.
• Dental Services Contact Centre.
• Early Years and Child Care Services.
• Family Health Call Centre.
• Healthy Sexuality Clinics.
• Vaccine clinics.
• Needle Exchange Program.
• Ontario Works.
• Garbage collection scheduled for Monday will be picked up one day later.
• Region of Peel recycling centres.
• TransHelp office.

Open:

• Bramalea City Centre (open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., individual store hours may vary).
• All essential city services, including Brampton Fire & Emergency Services.
• Service Brampton is available 24/7, with urgent service (situations that impact community safety) handled between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m.
• City of Brampton splash pads and parks.
• Some restaurants and bars will be open for dine-in, takeout or delivery, but call ahead to be sure.
• Some Brampton Recreation Centres (check online to be sure).
• Most Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall locations.
• Some smaller grocery stores.
