Bad news, everyone.

One of the city’s few–and definitely one of its most unique–tapas places has closed down for good.

But fortunately for diners, something else is going to take its place.

That said, Vietnamese cuisine lovers will be sad to hear that Dang! Vietnamese Tapas Bar and Lounge, which opened in 2016, is no more.

Located in the Dixie and Courtney Park area, the stylish resto catered to both lunch and dinner crowds by offering a generous selection of traditional Viet fare and creative, well-presented share plates that were almost as fun to photograph as they were to eat.

The resto was family-owned and run and was the first of its kind in the city.

The restaurant, which officially closed this month, is transforming into a bistro soon.

“Regretfully, Dang! Tapas Bar Lounge will be closing its doors on November 30, 2018,” the resto’s website reads, adding that diners should prepare to welcome a new management in the form of Skinny Chef Bistro, a French/Italian restaurant.

According to signage on the door, the resto closed Dec. 3.

According to Dang’s website, the new resto took over this month, but judging by the exterior (which still features Dang’s branding), it hasn’t opened just yet.

At this point, there’s not a ton of info available on Skinny Chef Bistro, but it sounds like it could satisfy health-conscious diners who enjoy classic European fare from time to time.

Well Dang! will be missed, it’ll be interesting to see how the new resto fares in the space.
