Two women hospitalized, road closed after vehicle hits pole in Mississauga

A collision has sent two people to hospital in Mississauga this afternoon (September 11).

It was reported at 3:53 p.m. that two vehicles were involved in a crash in the area of Derry Rd W and McLaughlin Rd.

One of the vehicles hit a pole.

Two women have been taken to local hospital, and the extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

McLaughlin is closed between Nova Star Dr and Derrydale Dr. Residents are asked to avoid the area.

UPDATE: The roadway has reopened. Both women taken to hospital have non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
