Two suspects wanted in Pickering pub shooting

Police have released surveillance photos of two men who they believe are responsible for a shooting that occurred Friday night at Pickering pub, which sent one man with a gunshot wound to the hospital.

On May. 5 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Durham Regional Police Service responded to a bar fight at The Harp and Crown Pub located at 300 Kingston Road Unit 9 in Pickering.

Police say during the altercation a 22-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he continues to remain in a serious but stable condition.

Officers believe it was an isolated incident.

Police say after reviewing surveillance video and speaking with witnesses’ they have been able to determine that there is not one but two suspects who are responsible for this incident.

Investigators have released images of the alleged suspect including their descriptions.

Suspect #1: is described as a black man in his early 20’s with a thin build and possibly braided hair. He was wearing a black sweatsuit with light stripes on the sides.

Suspect #2: is described as a black man, approximately 25-years-old, with short hair and chin-strap style facial hair. A description of his clothing was not provided by police.

Police are appealing to anyone who was inside the bar at the time of the altercation and may have any information that will help in the investigation.

Witnesses with video footage on their cellphones are also encouraged to speak with police.
