Police have pulled another pair of accused stunt drivers off the road after they were caught going nearly double the speed limit in Caledon.

The traffic stops happened on March 13 when the OPP says officers were working speed enforcement in the area of King Caledon Town Line near Columbia Way in Caledon.

The officers clocked the two drivers were respectively going 55 and 44 kilometres per hour over the posted 60km/hr speed limit.

Both of the drivers were charged with a stunting charge, with police saying the motorists were travelling at an “excessive speed.”

The drivers had their vehicles impounded for 14 days while their driver’s licenses have been suspended for 30 days. Police have not disclosed the identities of the accused, who are scheduled to make a court appearance at a later date.

News of the charges comes following police saying a Brampton man faces stunt driving charges after allegedly leading police on a chase in Oshawa.

The OPP says you could face a minimum of a one-year licence suspension if convicted of a stunt driving offence for the first time with “more severe penalties” for further convictions.

Stunt driving includes driving 40 kilometres per hour or more over the speed limit on roads with a speed limit less than 80 kilometres per hour, and driving 50 kilometres per hour or more over the speed limit.
