Two in Halton Hills face multiple charges following break-in

Halton Regional Police have arrested two men and charged them with several crimes following an investigation into a break-in at an industrial property in Halton Hills.

Police were called to the scene on Steeles Ave. near Fifth Line around 4:15 a.m. in November 12 after reports came in that an industrial unit was broken into and that the culprits were trying to get into a locked trailer. When police arrived at the scene they arrested two men.

The pair arrested were in possession of a truck stolen out of the city of Toronto, according to police. Inside the truck, police also located numerous stolen items including personal identification that did not belong to the suspects. Police have since identified the owners of the stolen property.

Paul Karp-Johnston (31) of no fixed address has been charged with the following:

  • Break and entering
  • Possession of a break-in instrument
  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Possession of fentanyl
  • Five counts of failing to comply with a probation order
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime

Alexander Herten-Greaven (41) of no fixed address has been charged with the following:

  • Break and entering
  • Possession of a break-in instrument
  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Failing to comply with a release order
  • Failing to comply with a an undertaking
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
