Travellers can more easily find their way to Italy’s floating city or the beer halls in one of the largest cities in Germany now that Pearson Airport in Mississauga has scheduled more flights to those European destinations.

Airport officials announced over the weekend that Air Canada has resumed three weekly flights to Venice, Italy in time for the late spring and summer travel seasons.

They also took to social media to let people know that Lufthansa has resumed daily flights to “the beautiful German city” of Munich.

More flights are being added to various destinations across Canada and around the world from Pearson as the spring travel season is in full swing and the even busier summer season is just around the corner.

Last week, airport officials announced that Air Canada had resumed six weekly flights between Pearson and Madrid, Spain in addition to resuming its four-flights-per-week service between Pearson and Fort McMurray in Alberta.

Also, Scandinavian Airlines reintroduced its four weekly flights between Pearson Airport and Stockholm, Sweden and is also offering three weekly flights to Copenhagen, capital of Denmark.

In early April, Air Canada resumed its schedule of five weekly flights to Copenhagen, which with a population of about two million is also the northern European nation’s most populous city.

In March, as the spring travel season began to take hold, Air Canada also announced it was increasing the number of flights to Portugal, Spain and Greece from Pearson.
