Toronto man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in Brampton murder case

A Toronto man, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, has been arrested and charged in connection with a Brampton murder case.

Dayne Gordon, 43, from Toronto, was found near Kennedy Road and Stafford Drive suffering from gunshot wounds on May 11, 2024, at around 4:20 a.m., Peel Regional Police said.

Gordon was transported to a trauma centre where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for the alleged killer on May 30, 2024.

On Feb. 9, Winardo Winteria Morris, 41, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Morris was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
