‘Time-based’ multimedia artist added to Oshawa’s Convergence Festival lineup

Acclaimed multimedia artist Jenn E Norton has been added to the diverse and eclectic lineup of urban artists for the Convergence Music and Art Festival in downtown Oshawa September 23.
Renowned for her work in time-based media, Norton’s innovative approach to immersive, experiential installations pushes the boundaries of the virtual and physical realms, offering audiences an “unforgettable journey” through art and reality.
Norton has captivated audiences worldwide with her thought-provoking creations that seamlessly blend storytelling and cutting-edge technology. Her projection installations challenge conventional perceptions and give viewers a unique perspective on the intricate relationship between virtual and physical spaces.
Festival attendees will have the unique opportunity to be immersed in Norton’s artistic universe as she uses the iconic downtown Oshawa building, 70 King (formerly the Genosha), as her canvas. According to a release from Oshawa Tourism, she will also use time-based media to transport attendees to a realm “where the lines between what is real and imagined become indistinguishable.”
The Convergence Music and Art Festival is taking over downtown Oshawa from September 22 to 24 with a cross-section of culturally-rich music featuring headliners The Strumbellas as well as a variety of emerging local artists, a visual explosion of mind-bending art and light, and a culture jam of international cuisine in the form of an ultramodern street food alley.
