A developer wants to build three towers at the corner of Appleby Line and Ironstone Dr., just south of Upper Middle Rd.

Called the 1860-1900 Appleby Line land, the development would build in three phases, an 18-storey and then two 16-storey towers. Eventually, there would be 560 residential units with 1,581-sq.-m. of retail and 1,820-sq.-m. of office space on the first and second storeys.

The land is currently designated ‘Uptown Employment’ in the City of Burlington Official Plan (1997), as amended and ‘Uptown Core’ in the New Official Plan.

The public is invited to attend a statutory public meeting under the Planning Act with respect to the above mentioned application.

Due to COVID-19, this meeting will be conducted virtually on Tuesday, Apr. 5, at 6:30 p.m.

For more information, visit the City’s development project website, which contains additional material, including supporting studies that have been submitted by the applicant.

A Community Planning Department staff report which provides a description of the application and updates on the technical review that is underway and public comments received to date, will be available for public review on Friday, March 25, 2022.

For more information about this matter, including information about appeal rights, contact Melissa Morgan, development planner at 905-335-7600, ext. 7788, or email [email protected].
